FIND OUT WHY DIVE INSTRUCTORS RECOMMEND A DAY’S OWD IN DEEPSPOT
“OWD day course allows my students not only to efficiently master basic diving skills, but also to work on their buoyancy in comfortable conditions. Thanks to this, later course dives in open water are much more effective and we have more time to improve and refine the diving technique.”
“With this option, we practically stopped training at regular pools and moved all basic training to Deepspot. Access to a well-organized diving infrastructure is a great start for any diver. The product itself gives us dive centers the opportunity to weave in the entire training path from the very beginning of the depth practically from “pool No. 1.” With a full-day stay at the facility, future divers also have the opportunity to mentor their more experienced colleagues. We’ve been waiting for such a product from the beginning of Deepspot – educating future divers in the spirit of diving in warm, clear water.”
“The facility provides super training opportunities and the students are better prepared for diving the sea or lake. Deepspot gives the possibility to dive deeper than a standard pool of 1.8 m, so students are no longer so afraid of the problem of equalization of pressure in the ears. In addition, they can already enjoy diving, and not fight with buoyancy.

“As of May 2021, we conduct all pool training of the OPEN WATER DIVER PADI course only at Deepspot as part of the OWD day course. There are 2 OWD days per student, which allows us about 9-10 hours. in the water. Such an extension of pool time is very beneficial in improving the standard of training. The students are much better prepared for open water exercises, they perform them much more efficiently. We have much more time to master all the required skills and even repeat them many times. Much more time is spent on buoyancy control, which significantly affects the final result of the training and the comfort of the students when passing in open water.
The course at Deepspot also makes it possible to catch pressure equalization problems as early as the pool class, which shallow pools do not provide. We can apply appropriate treatment for obstruction before open water activities….
“The day course at Deepspot provides the right conditions to prepare students during pool waters, both in terms of volume and depth. Training to 12 meters makes it significantly easier for trainees to find their way when diving in open water in terms of buoyancy or pressure equalization. It should be borne in mind that the transition from the warm water of Deepspot to, for example, our domestic lakes can sometimes be quite drastic, both in terms of the conditions of the body of water and the amount of ballast or wetsuit used. Despite this barrier, many of my students have completed full OWDs, after a day at Deepspot and in Poland and the Mediterranean.”
