Ashraf “Nemo” Essam Ashraf a.k.a. Nemo is the head of our team of SCUBA instructors and also an experienced instrutkor and technical diver. If you are looking for “Nemo” when you are in Deespot and he is not on the record, he is most likely underwater. His diving adventure began in 2012. He knew right away that diving was his passion, so in 2015 he became an instructor. And it was his best decision ever! Now, with more than 5,000 dives and 10 years of experience on his back, he has taught countless people to dive, helped them overcome their fears, while giving them the satisfaction and joy of the experience. He started diving in Egypt, exploring such parts of the Red Sea as Hurghada, Safaga, Marsa Alam and the Far South, Hamata. He has also dived in Polish reservoirs such as Honoratka, Koparki and Zakrzówek. You can most often find him teaching diving right here at Deepspot, where he has been working as Head of Scuba Instructors since 2021. His priority is safety and a decent foundation in teaching, guiding students step by step in the process of acquiring knowledge and skills.

He did the OWD course in 2003 already with a firm determination that this adventure would end with him becoming a certified diving instructor. It took ten years for this dream to come true. Since then, Cuba has remained very much connected with the diving world. He has worked for equipment manufacturers such as Ammonite System, Tusa, Poseidon. He has also been involved with the diving press for years. He writes articles, contributes to various groups and events promoting diving and water-environmental activities, organizes diving festivals, takes underwater photographs, and organizes diving expeditions to various non-obvious destinations around the world. A week is the longest period it can last without water. A great lover of wreck diving, especially in our native Baltic Sea. Kuba, is a Passionate diver with a capital “P”.
When not diving, he remains very active. Still on the move, he ventures into the woods by bicycle and loves to explore new wilderness. When he’s not driving, he’s hiking in the mountains. If it doesn’t ride or roam, it means it’s sitting underwater.

Nikolai Gorajek Since he was a young child, he has been peeping from his boat at his diving parents. In 2016 he did his first diving course in the warm waters of Thailand. However, he was only persuaded to dive by cooler bodies of water such as the Dugongs and the Baltic, but the Adriatic can also be used for diving. He became a Divemaster as soon as possible and immediately started a summer job at a dive base in the Adriatic Sea. He has been an SSI diving instructor since 2024. Nikolai is an avid traveler, IT specialist and technical diver. Underwater, he most enjoys watching wrecks or grinding trim for hours. At his place it works.

Walid Mohamed Ali, often called Karim by us (don’t ask why, it’s a strange thing). He was born in Hurghada. He made his first dive in 1998 and just 3 years later, as Divemaster, he worked on safari boats in the southern Red Sea. Diving instructor since 2003. He worked at various dive centers in Sharm el-sheik , Taba and Dahab, and also ran his own dive center. In 2011, following his love, he moved to Poland, no less continued to fly to Egypt to work on diving trips. He joined Deepspot in 2022 and can finally do what he loves here. He is a PADI and SSI instructor, and is infecting new students of the art of diving with his passion. In 2024, we awarded him Educator of the year, for his commitment and the quality of his training of students. He is married to a polka and has 4 children, the oldest you can already sometimes meet in Deepspot. He likes Poland, our greenery, tranquility, stuffed cabbage and pierogi. He has been playing soccer since childhood, and also goes hiking in the mountains in his free time. He is graduating next year and, in addition to diving, will also teach Arabic at our university.

Marta Żabik
Martha managed to get her first diving certification back in the past millennium. A throwback to 1999, admittedly. It was CMAS-s first star, and the diving course changed her life for good.
She gained her first diving experience by diving in Polish lakes, the Baltic Sea and Corsica. Since then, she has received a number of training courses from organizations such as PADI and SSI. Her passion for recreational diving turned into something more and she became a PADI Divemaster in 2022. When not at Deepspot and working, she dives in various remote corners of the world, combining diving with her passion for travel. Her dive top has invariably remained for years Raja Ampat and Egypt, which she tries to visit at least once a year. He has been freediving recreationally since 2021. The love of longer fins took her by surprise, so she has been consistently developing in this area as well. She manages to combine the diving world with her work as a manager in a corporation in the automotive sector.

She enrolled in a diving course in 2005 only because she was enthralled by the footage she saw of Croatia. No, it was not about wrecks and other underwater wonders. These were the dives of people with disabilities.
In her three years with the Nautica Association, she has gained a lot of experience in accompanying underwater people who require exceptional support. She also developed her knowledge and diving credentials. After taking a few years off for other life challenges, she returned to her great passion of teaching diving. She is certified as a PADI DSD Leader, so you can meet her on your first dives at Deepspot. Privately, he has two sons who have also already joined the diving path. Meet our diving instructor, Adrian! The “king of bubbles” Bellini! With a smile so bright it could rival the sun shining on a tropical reef, Adrian is a water lover who practically swims with the fish just to have a laugh. His enthusiasm for the underwater world is contagious – if luck were a buoy, Adrian would be floating on top! But it’s not just sea turtles and colorful corals that have captured Adrian’s heart. When he’s not conducting underwater ballet arrangements with schools of fish, he can be found singing serenades in honor of the ocean with his favorite Italian pop songs. Imagine this situation: Adrian in full diving gear, singing the latest hits as if he were auditioning for a reality show-type singing competition – all while maintaining perfect buoyancy! No one knows how he manages to reconcile a breathing machine with a karaoke microphone, but you can discover this excitement by diving with Adrian. So get ready for a diving adventure that is equal parts safe, smiling and passionate about the underwater world. We guarantee you’ll come out from under the waves with a treasure chest full of memories – and maybe even a new favorite song! Take the plunge and join Adrian for a champagne experience – you’ll return with a smile as big as his!
Anna Kazejak Since she went underwater for the first time in May 2022, she has divided her heart into two parts – one devoted to diving and the other to film. In diving, she is not interested in breaking depth or quantity records, but in how diving, nomen omen, improves mental health. For herself, going underwater is a form of meditation, concentration on the here and now, on the breath, on contact with wild, fascinating nature. Despite her relatively short apprenticeship, she has already dived in several places in the Mediterranean, Egypt or the Maldives, and almost all upcoming vacation trips are subordinated to diving. She sees being an instructor not only as teaching diving skills and taking responsibility for another human being underwater, but also as a space for educating pro-environmental attitudes. By communing with the water, we learn about how the health of the oceans affects our habitats and through that, the health of ourselves.

Filip Jakubiak Freediving instructor at the highest possible level. Both practically, as all of Philip’s students invariably attest, and formally (SSI Performance Freediving Instructor, formerly Level 3 Instructor). From birth, he wanted to become a diver. The very origin of this passion is a mystery, and no one knows where the idea came from in little Philip’s head. However, the matter was so serious that his mother even changed his bedtime story. The well-known story featured a Red Riding Hood Diver and a Sea Wolf. He discovered a passion for freediving in 2004 and has since participated in numerous competitions and cups as a competitor. In 2017, he obtained his first instructor’s license and now takes great pleasure in passing on his knowledge and passion to others. Recently, he has also been fulfilling his role as a belayer at freediving competitions. In addition, Philip has been a saturation diver for more than 15 years, and when he is not at Deepspot, you can be sure that I am working somewhere deep underwater. Gabi has felt a deep connection to the water from a young age, but it was at the age of 11, when she first heard about freediving, that she decided this was what her future would hold. When she learned that Deepspot was being created she decided , that this is where she would one day work. She started her diving adventure in 2021, then she went to Malta to learn this art. Without limits, she fell in love with the underwater world, especially caves and encounters with octopuses. Outside the water, Gabi is interested in paleontology and archaeology, and is a lover of animals and books, as well as photography. Instagram: @gabigorska

Damian Zawadzki
His thoughts turned to freediving after watching the film One Breath Around the World.
The first time he “seriously” held his breath was with a gift of a voucher for Try Freediving, just at Deepspot. He fell like a freediver into the water.
At the end of 2023, he completed the instructor course, immediately at the advanced level, and joined our team.
He is a dancer by profession, which resonates perfectly with the movement of the ton. He experiments with movement and many dance styles testing how the body behaves in a familiar style, but in an unusual environment trying to find unity in it.
He approaches freediving from the side of relaxation, meditation and tranquility. No less, he also does not shy away from competitions in which he achieves impressive results. He can hold his breath for more than seven minutes and just get going! His goal is to spread underwater dancing and acting in film to show the beauty of the underwater world to a wider audience. Full-time dancer at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia

Pawel May The first attempts to hold his breath were in the days of kindergarten, dad’s swimming goggles and pride that he lasted as long as 40 seconds…. in the bathtub. At the time, he had no idea that something like Freediving existed, let alone that it would be his passion. Nevertheless, he clearly felt that there was another dimension underwater and that this would be his world. A few years later, he came upon Luc Besson’s “The Big Blue.” Favorite scenes watched underwater – in one breath, of course. Already seriously adventure with Freediving began in high school, when he became fascinated with the disciplines of CNF (Constant No Fins) and DNF (Dynamic No Fins), or so-called “frog underwater”. They remain his favorites to this day, although he makes no secret that he also loves the feeling of speed during submersion and ascent, when he works his fins hard. Before he got into Freediving for good he also tried what Scuba diving, Cave diving and Sky diving are. In all probability, it can be said that he will like another “diving” if he discovers any more. In 2024, Paul participated in our internship program, completed the instructor course and has been working with us ever since. When he’s not going underwater, you’ll find him behind the camera. Underwater filming is another of Paul’s passions. He is constantly looking for new ways to improve his skills by taking workshops and training from the best Freedivers in the world. Roberto, mio palmo!
