You can run, bike, go to the gym. Any activity is very beneficial for you, your body and mind. It releases endorphins, strengthens muscles and the immune system, and allows you to change your surroundings and relax and forget for a while. But if you also want to feel a dose of adrenaline and get ready to explore the underwater world, try something new! Freediving, or diving on held breath, is a sport still unknown to many people. Therefore, you are the one who can discover the secrets of going underwater and acquire new skills. It is very possible that you will love this sport and way of recreation from the first descent into the depths.
Freediving training in the deepest pool in the world
Before you set out to explore the open waters, lakes or seas, we have a great suggestion for you. You can take advantage of the instructor’s expertise and the amazing diving pool. Deepspot is the deepest pool in the world, and it was created in Poland. It is more than 45 meters deep, with warm, exceptionally clear water and full equipment to learn and train for diving. At Deepspot you can dive safely and under the guidance of specialists who will prepare you to go underwater and watch over the well-being of all daredevils. Underwater caves and a shipwreck have been prepared in the depths of the pool, making the reservoir even more attractive for diving enthusiasts.
Why should you try freediving?
Freediving is a diving technique that involves going underwater without an air cylinder. At Deepspot, during the First Dive, for those who have not been exposed to this discipline before, you can go up to 5 meters below the surface. For many people, this is the beginning of the diving adventure, because overcoming their first fears and limitations, they become true enthusiasts who, over time, without exploring the underwater world, can not imagine active recreation.
Why does diving trigger such positive emotions?
- Diving allows you to get away from your troubles and ordinary daily life. Underwater, you won’t hear an annoying phone ring, you don’t need social media, you don’t answer emails. You focus on being “here and now.” This is very important for the human psyche.
- You meet people similar to yourself: brave enthusiasts who are looking for adrenaline, but within the limits of safety. Being in a group of friends makes you feel better.
- Underwater, the world looks different. Also the one in the Deepspot pool. What lies beneath the surface? Only those who decided to dive know about it. As your first freediving workouts turn into more diving attempts, you can also explore the world in the seas and oceans. Underwater reality is full of amazing colors and creatures that you will never see on land.
- You will overcome your limitations and fears. Did you know that a person is able to submerge in water up to several tens of meters? To beginners, this seems impossible. And yet. If you overcome the fear and any obstacles that are in your head, you will feel great joy and satisfaction from diving.
What is freediving?
Freediving means diving on held breath, without using an air cylinder. This is an excellent workout for those who want to feel the adrenaline rush of going underwater to a considerable depth. First Dive classes at the Deepspot pool last two hours and take place under the watchful eye of qualified instructors. Classes for people with no experience are divided into theoretical and practical parts. Theory includes relaxation techniques, statics, dynamics and methods for extending breath-hold time. On top of that, we will learn how to keep ourselves and other participants safe. Practical classes are already going underwater.
Can you try freediving?
The minimum age of a course participant is 10 years. There is no upper limit, as a future diver simply needs to have basic fitness and be in good health. So if you are not ill with anything serious (nor do you have a runny nose or sinus problems), maintain normal physical activity, are not afraid of enclosed spaces, and can swim, try this sport. You don’t need to have any of your own equipment. All you need is a comfortable swimming suit, and all accessories such as mask, snorkel, fins are available on site. Don’t want to participate in the First Dive alone? You can suggest diving to your friends, acquaintances, family or even treat them to an entry by buying a corresponding voucher.
Is freediving a safe sport?
Don’t think you can go underwater on your own and without preparation. Diving is an extreme sport, which is why it is so important for a diver to work with a Deepspot instructor. No class participant is ever left alone and always performs exercises under supervision. Therefore, the plan for the First Freediving Dive includes going through all the safety documents, a theoretical and practical lesson with the instructor, and after the dive the participant has time to relax and have a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
