Is the Deepspot pool suitable for children?
Of course! Lots of kids have already dipped their first fins in the Deepspot pool and almost all of them wanted some more! The lower age limit is 10 years – this applies to both Scuba Diving and Freediving. In special cases, it is possible to redeem the voucher by younger children (but not younger than 8 years!).
Both the physical conditions of the child are important (the diver must not be too light!), as well as his readiness to learn and openness to cooperate with the instructor. Time to decide: Scuba or Freediving?
These are two basic types of diving that are essentially united only by… water.
- Freediving is diving without an aqualung (commonly referred to as equipment-free diving). The freediver goes underwater with ABC equipment (mask, snorkel, fins) and stays submerged for what is known as a “freedive”. stopped/stopped breathing – so the immersion lasts as long as the diver can safely hold his breath. As part of the preparation for the first Freediving dive, both breathing exercises and training in safe immersion and emergence from the water are carried out.
- Scuba Diving is diving with an aqualung, which is an elaborate piece of equipment that allows you to breathe underwater. The basic equipment of a scubadiver, in addition to ABC equipment, is therefore a compressed air cylinder and a breathing machine.
